*** Always recruiting! No experience necessary! ***
North Shore Maulers Rugby Football Club is currently Division 4 of the MIRFU (Michigan Rugby Football Union) since we are a new club. To rise in divisions, we need to meet certain criteria and win games!
TRAINING
Rugby practices start after the snow melts once a week until August. Last year, we trained in Boyne City, but training site still to be determined for 2021. From August, we start practicing twice a week to get ready for the fall competition season. Maulers coaching staff highly recommends that players keep conditioning throughout the snow months.
COMPETITION
The Maulers will compete against other Division 4 teams throughout Michigan. The fall season starts end of August and goes until November if we make the play-offs. There are approximately 8 games, half of them home and half of them away.

SOCIAL
A big part of club rugby is the social element. After every game, the hosting team is expected to put on a “rugby social,” which entails lots of food and beer. If the Maulers are playing away, depending on how far away the game is, we might either spend the night or come home after the social. Maulers HOME games, everyone is the community is welcome to attend the social.
